About This Hotel

The Yaya Village Hotel is a high altitude training center and resort in Ethiopia, located on the road to Sululta, and only 11 kilometers north of Addis Ababa. Founded by 27-time World Record Holder Haile Gebrselassie and former Canadian Cross-Country Champion Joseph Kibur. On-site the 4-star Hotel has a gymnasium, steam room and sauna, physiotherapy and massage facilities, restaurant and bar, a conference room, a children's playground and a 1 kilometer dirt trail. The Hotel is ideally located as its backyard and the surrounding areas open to numerous running trails, including cross-country forest trails, the Entoto foothills and Keninisa Bekele's new all-weather track. Yaya Village sits at 2,700 meters (8,800 feet) and offers comfortable training temperatures which attract both elite and developing runners to the area.
