Ethiopia's Genzebe Dibaba laps part of field in dominant 3000 meter win at World Indoor Championships – OregonLive.com

Ethiopia’s Genzebe Dibaba controlled nearly every step of the way during the women’s 3,000-meter race, lapping part of the field en route to a gold medal and a 8:47.43 finish. 

Dibaba has been in dominant form this season, recently setting the indoor record for the mile in a time of 4:13.31. 

Dibaba’s teammate, Meseret Defar, also a multiple-time indoor winner, finished second with a time of 8:54.26. 

The United States’ Shannow Rowbury came in third with a time of 8:55.55.
